The Edith Stein School is a semi-private school which has the following educational stages: Infant, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training (middle and upper grade). Since 2016, our school has encouraged the internationalization of our students through the Erasmus + undergraduate Vocational Training scholarship and we are willing to extend it to higher professional training. The school also provides the students the opportunity to participate in cultural exchange programs with England.
For the development of the project, we want students from both higher and middle grade cycles to perform their FCT practices in another European country. We search for partners through contacts with companies from Germany, Ireland, and Italy which already have experience in Erasmus and mobility projects and who can offer us a guarantee of success for our students. We also search for partners through social networking such as eTwinning, EPALE, Erasmobility, etc.
The objectives that we set to ourselves are:
• Reduce school dropout by increasing the motivation of students with the mobilities.
• Offer equal European opportunities to the students of our FP.
• Increase the internationalization of our school.
• Recognize the competences and qualifications of students through mobility. Ex: Europass
• Disseminate and publicize the results of the project.
• Share the experience and methodologies learned with other European FP centers and companies in the sector with which the FCT is carried out.
• Develop and increase the linguistic capacity of our students in different languages.
• Improve the accessibility to Erasmus+ to the students with fewer resources.
• Promote the safety of students in mobility.
• Increase the employment opportunities in Europe for our students.
• Increase the advertising of the training cycle thanks to the Erasmus + grant and its dissemination.
• Expand FCT opportunities with European business companies.
These mobilities bring a wide benefit for the students who study it and also for our school, because when the students return we carry out sessions in which they tell other students how their Erasmus + experience has been, encouraging other students to take part in the project in the future. Undoubtedly, this type of action opens new doors and opportunities between different European countries, making real a true European Space of Education. Being conscious of this, at the end of their studies, those students who have acquired the skills to develop in other countries will not hesitate to work wherever they are needed. Many of our students already develop their curriculum in several languages and send it to companies from different European countries. In Edith Stein School, we want to be able to provide these opportunities to our students taking part in higher education.
